Deja Food Restaurant Group has been closely monitoring the situation regarding the spread of the coronavirus and the COVID-19 illness it causes. The health and safety of the guests and staff are what matter most to us. As this growing health crisis is fluid, we will continue to adjust our standard operating procedures as needed and will provide updates on this page. Please be patient with us as we navigate through the guidelines and restrictions that we are mandated to follow. We will post all updates regarding safety protocols on social media and this page to finalize our plans. Thank you for your continued support and we can’t wait to see you!

What we are doing to protect our guests and employees

  • Require all employees who cannot physically distance to wear face-covering if they are able

  • Limit in-person meetings and use other means of communications such as Zoom, Skype and email, that are not in person

  • Limit number of employees present on the premises at any given time to Forward Dane limits

  • Limit number of visitors/clients at any given time to Forward Dane limits

  • Spread out at workstations as much as possible so employees can remain six feet apart at all times

  • Promote flexible/remote work schedules to reduce number of employees in the office or in the workplace at any one time 

  • Install physical barriers such as clear, plastic sneeze shields at reception areas or between workstations

  • Remove extra chairs and tables in the dining area, waiting areas, break rooms to allow people to remain six feet apart when possible

  • Provide tape, chalk or other means of marking floors/ground in high traffic areas to show people where to stand when waiting (e.g. elevators, reception area)

  • Use tape or other markings on the floor or footprint graphics to show clients and visitors where to stand 

  • Consider having guests or visitors wait in their cars for a text or call when it’s their turn to enter

  • Post physical distancing signage throughout the premises reminding everyone to practice physical distancing

  • Provide special accommodations for vulnerable workers or those unable to wear face-covering

  • All of our menus will be available online. We encourage guests to use them throughout their dining experience to limit the amount of waste of single-use menus.

Healthy Habits to keep you and our space safe

  • Guests are required to wear a mask, except when seated

  • Do not dine with us if you are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or if you have been in contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive.

  • Guests are encouraged to arrive at their reservation time and not prior due to spacing limitations.

  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet from others

  • Thoroughly wash your hands on a frequent basis with soap and warm water for 15-20 seconds. Use sanitizer dispensers to keep your hands clean if washing your hands is not immediately possible.

  • If possible, wear a mask upon entering our restaurant, anytime you are not sitting at a dining table and when 6-foot distancing could potentially be compromised (ie. walking by other guests or employees etc.)

  • Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes with unwashed hands

  • If you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue and discard it immediately and wash/sanitize your hands

  • Guest self-screening - we encourage and appreciate you to perform self-health temperature checks prior to visiting a Deja Food Restaurant

HVAC SYSTEM

To improve air quality in our restaurant have installed an ionized air filtration and purification system.  Our property owner, ULI has installed a needlepoint bi-polar ionization technology by Global Plasma Solutions (GPS) throughout their commercial office buildings. Test results released by Innovation Bioanalysis on June 2nd, 2020 demonstrate a 99.4% kill rate of SARS-COV-2 (COVID19) when using needlepoint bi-polar ionization technology. This technology is used in facilities like the Mayo Clinic, Children’s Hospital Boston, Duke Medical, Harvard University, Google, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, US DOD, and all branches of the US Military.
